Our Home on Isla Mujeres
We were looking forward to eating some good food after Cuba and there was no shortage of restaurants and cafes on Isla Mujeres. A twenty-minute ferry ride from Cancun, the island is known for its white sand beaches and tropical vibe.

The Beach
We stayed at an Airbnb owned by a friendly couple which was located half way down the six-mile long/one mile wide island. The garden was home to a blind dog, a cute puppy and two iguanas. Three days were spent exploring the island, chilling on the beach and checking out the plentiful street art.

The warm sea breezes and walks along the island's malecon were refreshing after the intense heat of Havana. lt was a perfect antidote and just what we needed. Sadly, it was our last stop in Mexico, but hopefully it won't be too long before we return.
